  1. Paro: Begin in the picturesque Paro Valley, cradled by Himalayan peaks. Explore ancient dzongs and breathe in the crisp mountain air.
  2. Thimphu: Bhutan’s capital awaits—where crimson-robed monks cross paths with tech-savvy youth. Visit Buddha Point and delve into Bhutanese heritage.
  3. Punakha: Drive through the scenic Dochu La Pass to Punakha’s subtropical valleys. The Punakha Dzong rises like an ivory fortress.
  4. Phobjikha Valley: Discover Gangtey, also known as Phobjikha Valley. Here, pristine landscapes and the Gangtey Monastery await.
  5. Haa: Explore the lesser-known gem of Haa, where ancient traditions thrive amidst breathtaking vistas.

Day 1: Arrival, Paro to Thimphu.

Distance: 50.0km/1 hr 20 min (Paro-Thimphu)

Elevation: 2334m/7657ft

Overnight in Thimphu.

Day 2: Thimphu Sight-seeing.

Elevation: 1242m/4075ft

  • Thimphu Memorial Chorten
  • Natural Hike towards Wangditsi
  • Royal Takin Reserve 
  • Centenary Farmers’ Market

Overnight in Thimphu.

Day 3: Attend The Rhododendron Festival at Lamperi.

Distance: 77.0km/2 hr (Thimphu-Punakha)

Elevation: 2100m/6900ft

Attractions:

  • Dochula Pass (3100m/10200ft)
  • Festival at Lamperi Botanical Park

Overnight in Punakha.

Day 4: Punakha Excursion.

Elevation: 1242m/4075ft

Attractions:

  • Hike to Khamsum Yulley Monastery
  • Punakha Dzong/fortress
  • Punakha Suspension bridge
  • Chimmi Lhakhang
  • River Rafting (additional charge)

Overnight in Punakha.

Day 5: Return to Paro.

Distance: 115.0km/3-4 hr (Punakha-Paro)

Elevation: 2200m/7218ft

Attractions: 

  • Ta Dzong (National Museum)
  • Explore Paro Local Town

Overnight in Paro.

Day 6: Tiger-Nest hike.

Hiking time: 6-7 km/5-6 hr Elevation: 3120m/10236ft

Hike to the Tiger’s Nest Monastery, Paro Sightseeing.

Attractions:

  • Paro Taktsang
  • Hot stone Bath (additional charge)

Overnight in Paro.

Day 7: Departure

After breakfast, we drive on to the airport in Paro, to catch your flight to your onward destination as you bid farewell to the beautiful Kingdom of Bhutan.
